Simply put, Automotive Law is a practice area encompassing all automotive-related business. Much like Entertainment Law, Automotive Law is defined more by its clients than specific legal work.

An Automotive Attorney practices in many different areas of law to fit the needs of the client. Automotive law might involve contracts one day, employment advice the next day, and litigation the day after.
About Colson
Colson is an avid enthusiast of both cars and legal work. Raised by his lawyer father (and current law partner) Steve Duggins, Colson developed a love and understanding for the practice of law from a young age. Beginning at 16, Colson worked in Steve's law practice in whatever capacity he could.
At the same time, Colson competed on the CSTHEA mock trial team, where he won several awards and refined his love for the practice of law.

During college and later law school at Regent University in Virginia Beach, Colson continued to work remotely for Steve's law practice in more substantial ways, eventually apprenticing under Steve as a paralegal. Upon graduating law school, Colson returned to Chattanooga to join his father's practice.

All the while, Colson nursed a second passion: cars. In college, Colson worked jobs as both a valet driver and a car salesman. These jobs gave Colson insight into the workings of the automotive industry. He fed his passion for cars by doing copious amounts of research into the automotive industry, from vehicle branding and design to mechanical knowledge.

Colson now combines both his passions into a single practice. Colson's legal knowledge and experience coupled with his love and understanding of the automotive industry make him well suited to address any of your legal needs in the automotive industry.
